The Opportunity

We are looking for a Assistant Vice President – Managing Agent (Aircraft Leasing) to join our Aviation team in our Client Accounting Department as part of our financial services business in Dublin.

As part of our Dublin team you will be performing the below key duties:

 

Key Duties:

The Assistant Vice President – Managing Agent (Aircraft Leasing) is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Additionally, the person will be required to deliver high levels of client service, while ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports issued to the debt and equity investors on various Aviation ABS structures
  • Assist with the cash management process on various Aviation ABS structures such as monthly waterfall preparation, monitoring of cash inflows/outflows, preparation of bank reconciliations, preparation of payment instructions and bank account monitoring
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and production of annual financial statements.
  • Ongoing liaison with the company's auditors and tax advisers to assist with annual audits, tax and other regulatory returns
  • Assist the team and other service providers with other obligations as required.
  • Act in an oversight capacity on other transactions and mentor members of the team

 

Requirements

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • Hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2-3 years’ of post-qualification experience, ideally gained in financial services;
  • Portray strong knowledge of corporate accounting, gained either in a Fiduciary or Audit related business;
  • Experience in accounts preparation
  • Will be expected to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and have a proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients.
