About the Role

The Marketing Manager reports to the Regional Head of Marketing (Europe) and manages the Dublin-based Marketing team.  Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: to promote and position the Maples Group as a pre-eminent Irish law firm.  The successful candidate will work with the partners and other senior stakeholders in the Dublin office to identify key priorities and then lead the Dublin marketing team in delivering a programme of marketing initiatives utilising a broad range of tactics. Primary responsibilities include:

 

  • Day-to-day management of a team of marketing and events professionals
  • Understanding the objectives of the Dublin office and its practice groups, and pro-actively developing and delivering initiatives and activities designed to meet them
  • Ensuring marketing activities and initiatives are joined up and coordinated with corresponding business development plans
  • Evaluating the return on investment for key marketing campaigns, and adapting future activities accordingly
  • Using effective channels of communication for our thought leadership and other profile raising activities
  • Working with the Communications Manager in the preparation of appropriate communication messaging
  • Identifying, evaluating and overseeing of the Dublin office's corporate associations and sponsorships activity, ensuring they are in line with strategic objectives.
  • Working closely with our Digital & Creative Services team to deliver engaging content
  • The production and maintenance of necessary marketing collateral and other printed and digital materials
  • Feeding in opportunities arising from marketing activities and campaigns into our BD/CRM plans
  • The management of the Dublin's events team, ensuring our events are not only "best-in-class" but also in support of our strategic objectives
  • Working closely with peers in other jurisdictions to ensure appropriate coordination and collaboration as well as best practice and continuous development in our marketing activities
  • Management of the Dublin office marketing budget
  • Working with others within the BD&M team on key projects

 

EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • A professional qualification in a Business or Marketing related field is preferred
  • 8+ years of experience (preferably in professional, B2B or financial services)
  • Engage credibly with all members of the organisation with high level of enthusiasm and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to provide both strategic and operational support when needed
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle a consistent and varied workload is essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure and juggle a number of on-going projects with deadlines and budgets while also maintaining high quality delivery
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Ability to apply logic and creativity to problem solving, ideally from experience gained in a professional services environment
  • Strong relationship skills and the capability to understand and quickly respond to the needs of senior stakeholders
  • Strong teamwork skills to work alongside and build relationships with the Marketing Team both locally and globally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and administrative skills
