About the Role

The Head of Corporate Services is responsible for working to ensure the entity achieves its business objectives by creating an environment that promotes employee commitment to the achievement of the organisational vision and strategic objectives. The Head of Corporate Services has responsibility for the effective day to day operations and people management of the Corporate Services Groups in the Cayman Islands.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • The successful implementation and execution of all Board decisions, mandates and initiatives; developing and implementing the appropriate policies, procedures and practices to ensure that MCS core functions achieve their business objectives
  • Lead teams of Corporate Services professionals, managing the resources and operations of the entity, to include effective planning to ensure that the optimal numbers of engaged, skilled and motivated employees are positioned to support MCSL in achieving its strategic goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the timely execution of regulatory reporting responsibilities in addition to supporting regulatory inspections
  • Supporting, coaching, developing and mentoring the Corporate Services teams to further drive continued professional development
  • Evaluate overall MCSL performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics and providing solutions and recommendations for improvement
  • Responsibility and oversight for the profit and loss management of MCSL; ensuring that resources are managed effectively and efficiently, and escalating issues where required
  • Working with key stakeholders to implement the overall compliance and risk framework for MCSL
  • Lead on the execution all disaster contingency and crisis management plans for MCSL, collaborating with the Crisis Management team
  • Monitor working practices across MCSL, using data analysis and reporting to identify service delivery levels, and holding regular group meetings to discuss issues, canvass opinions and provide feedback where necessary
  • Proactively consulting MCSL clients, in conjunction with the responsible lawyer, on detected opportunities and problems

 

EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a similar management role, with extensive industry experience
  • Education to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent in a management or business discipline, or relevant professional qualifications
  • Meets necessary criteria to be considered fit and proper by MCSL regulators to be a Head of Corporate Services
  • A broad range of highly developed management skills including a demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and develop individuals and groups of employees
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles e.g., finance, operations, human resources, client service
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and to make a strategic contribution to a large, complex organisation
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and performance metrics
  • Excellent networking, advocacy, interpersonal and negotiating skills with the ability to relate to and work with people at all levels and communicate effectively to audiences at all levels
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • An ability to develop and manage effective client relationship management skills
