About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to take the next step in your career and join our successful and well-established Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team in the Cayman Islands. Maintaining our reputation for excellence, the successful candidate will be commercially astute, demonstrate excellent technical skills and be committed to building and developing a successful career within a collaborative and dynamic team.

 

Our Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team is at the forefront of cross-border litigation and includes 7 partners, 11 fee-earners, articled clerks and a PSL. The team focuses as much on strategies to avoid disputes and mitigate risk as it does on active dispute resolution procedures. Our clients include multinational corporations, investment and private equity funds, insolvency practitioners, and domestic and international financial institutions.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

The successful candidate's qualifications and experience should include:

 

  • Between 3-5 years' post qualification experience
  • Highly relevant experience in complex international commercial litigation, contentious cross-border insolvency and/or restructuring matters from a recognised leading law firm in a major onshore or offshore jurisdiction
  • Outstanding drafting and technical skills
  • A strong academic background
  • A proven ability to provide timely and commercial advice to clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team, lead and supervise junior associates and take an active part in sharing knowledge and experience within the team

 

This post also requires significant attention to detail, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
