About the Role

Working closely with colleagues across the Banking and Finance legal team the successful candidate will enjoy challenging and high profile work. The role represents excellent opportunity for a lawyer to join our Banking and Finance Group and make a significant contribution to our growing practice. The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Advising clients on a wide range of legal matters, with a particular focus on providing legal advice to our clients in general banking transactions (including fund finance, corporate finance, asset finance, securitisation, capital market)
• Working with a client base that comprises of domestic and international clients and prestigious foreign law firms
• Engaging in business development activities, being active in the promotion of the firm and seeking opportunities for new work and cross-selling
• Working as part of a team and in daily interaction with the partners and taking an active part in sharing knowledge and experience within the team

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

• One to three years’ professional experience as a general banking and finance lawyer, ideally gained within a top-tier law firm
• Experience in fund finance, structured finance and/or securitisation would be advantageous but not essential
• Admission to the Luxembourg Bar or are eligible to be registered on List IV of the Luxembourg Bar
• It is essential that you have a strong academic background, with excellent written communication and drafting skills
• Outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and work well in a team environment
• The successful candidate needs to be bilingual with at least English and one of French or German
• You must be eligible to work within Luxembourg

This post requires significant attention to detail, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communications skills. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to internal policies and procedures.
