About the Role

The Maples Group is seeking an experienced, professional and detail oriented DE&I Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role and it will report directly to senior leadership in the Group. Working alongside the wider HR team, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and with colleagues across the business, the DE&I Specialist will be responsible for championing and delivering our purposeful long term DEI strategy and action priorities, plans and projects. Building on existing inclusive operational practices, this is a unique opportunity to join us in developing, embedding and championing our strategic actions on DE&I.

 

Key areas of responsibility are:

 

  • Advise the business on global DEI projects and programs
  • Implement and deliver high impact DEI initiatives and events, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Facilitate and champion a culture where DEI is embedded in the Maples culture, valuing every employee as an individual and embracing differences
  • In conjunction with other areas of the business, supporting on effective communication, integration and delivery of key global DEI projects
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of our DEI programs
  • Maintaining an awareness of market conditions and trends, DEI developments, thought leadership, legislative change and best practice

 

EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • At least five years' experience in a DE&I advisory role
  • Proven experience delivering innovative DE&I programs that have measureable impact
  • Proven knowledge and expertise on DE&I issues, best practice and current legislation
  • Commitment, passion, drive and enthusiasm for increasing DE&I in the workplace with an ability to demonstrate understanding and discretion of individuals within minority groups
  • Proven ability to influence and manage high level stakeholders with confidence and credibility
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal partners, line managers and HRBP's
  • Proven experience of taking a proactive approach to duties and responsibilities and using initiative when required
